Eurofurence 30: Fursuits & Foot Pain
From August 19th to 22nd, it was once again: Welcome to the organized madness of the Eurofurence 30! Together with Ruderfrosch, Splashii, and Fabi, I plunged into the fray. The verdict: Fantastic, but physically an absolute bootcamp with an average of 11,538 (and at its peak, 21,934!) steps a day. As if that wasn't enough of a workout, I had the honorable position of Designated Driver. The supposed master plan behind it: Stay at one of our places in Bremen and commute to Hamburg every day, since gas is cheaper than a hotel. Spoiler alert: When you can't have a post-ride beer because you still have to drive on the Autobahn, this plan quickly loses its appeal. Next year, I'm definitely booking a hotel!
Despite the commute, the convention was an absolute blast, packed with epic fursuits, cool workshops, and the chance to finally chat with content creators in real life, away from the screen. My personal highlights? Definitely the "Shisha Furs," where, as a self-proclaimed chain smoker from another group of friends, I immediately felt right at home. And the Modular Techno Panel—it was pure joy for any tinkerer to see someone deliver a completely laid-back techno show using only bare hardware, cables, and effect modules.
But enough talk, you're here for the visual proof. Below you'll find the ultimate photo dump with over 50 impressions of Hamburg. Enjoy clicking through!
